POS pricing: the Starter, Counter, Chain and Enterprise plans
PointLit has four plans. Starter is the Free plan, for one shop. Counter adds a warehouse and every feature, Chain runs three branches and takes more as you grow, and Enterprise sets its limits with you. Paid plans are paid up front for a month, 3 months, 6 months or a year, and the longer the period, the less each month costs. Shops in Egypt see prices in Egyptian pounds with VAT included; other countries see US dollars.

How paying works
Paid plans are paid up front for the period you choose: a month, 3 months, 6 months or a year. When you ask for a plan on the Plan and billing page in PointLit, it shows the exact amount and how to pay; today that is InstaPay, Vodafone Cash or a bank transfer. Your plan starts as soon as we confirm the payment, and its invoice appears on the same page.
Prices in Egyptian pounds are for shops in Egypt, include VAT and are paid through Egyptian payment methods. Businesses in other countries pay in US dollars.
Outside Egypt, Counter costs $29 a month and Chain $79 a month for 3 branches, paid yearly; Starter is the Free plan for one shop.

Starter: the Free plan for one shop, when registration opens
Starter is the Free plan for one shop: a till with shifts and receipts, the stock on hand and the core reports. Receipts carry a small "Powered by PointLit" line, and a paid plan adds a warehouse, more staff logins and products, customer accounts and loyalty, every report and the full sales history.
Starter's limits: 1 shop, the owner plus 1 staff login, up to 100 active products, and the sales of the last 31 days on screen (older sales are kept, not deleted).
Questions and answers
- What does PointLit cost?
- Starter is the Free plan, for one shop. Counter and Chain have a monthly price that depends on the period you pay for: monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months or yearly, with yearly the lowest. Enterprise is priced with you. The current prices are at the top of this page: in Egyptian pounds for shops in Egypt, VAT included, and in US dollars elsewhere.
- How do I pay?
- Ask for a plan on the Plan and billing page in PointLit. It shows the exact amount and the payment details: InstaPay, Vodafone Cash or a bank transfer. Your plan starts as soon as we confirm the payment, and the invoice appears on the same page. Online card payment is not available yet.
- How does the free trial work?
- When registration opens, every new business gets everything in Chain for 14 days, with no card. When the trial ends you have 7 more days, with everything still working, to choose a paid plan. After that the business moves to the Free plan, and nothing is deleted. Each business gets one trial.
- What happens if my shop goes over a limit of its plan?
- Nothing is deleted and selling at the till never stops; on the Free plan, sales your online store or another system sends through the API stop until you upgrade. Adding one more product, collection, price list, staff login or shop than your plan allows is refused until you upgrade. When a business moves to a smaller plan, the owner chooses which shop, staff login and price list stay active; the others are paused, not deleted, and come back with an upgrade. On the Free plan, older sales are hidden, not deleted, and appear again when you upgrade. A sale a till queued while offline is always accepted.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Payments are not refunded.
- Can the price of my plan change?
- A new price applies from your next renewal, never to a period you have already paid for, and we tell you at least 30 days before.
- Why are there two price lists?
- Shops in Egypt pay in Egyptian pounds, through Egyptian payment methods, with VAT included. Businesses in other countries pay in US dollars. Your business's country sets its currency when it registers. The switch at the top of this page shows one list at a time.
- Which plan should I choose?
- Count your shops first. One shop without a warehouse fits Starter, the Free plan. A shop with a warehouse, or one that wants quotations, customer accounts, loyalty or the full set of reports, fits Counter. Two or more branches fit Chain: it includes three branches, takes more for a monthly price each, and adds stock transfers and reports across all of them. If you are unsure, write to support@pointlit.com about your shop.
- How do I get access while registration is closed?
- Fill in the early-access form with your name, phone number, type of shop, city and number of branches, and we will tell you the moment registration opens. Requesting early access costs nothing and commits your shop to nothing. If you want to talk about your shop before then, write to support@pointlit.com.
